Gas Woes

Filed under: News — Larry @ 9:54 pm

The Cumberland Farms convenience store close to my apartment had regular grade gasoline posted at $2.57 on Monday, $2.84 on Tuesday and $3.11 on Wednesday. Personally, I don’t think the cost of the gasoline that is in the ground at the pump has risen since it has already been purchased from the oil company. It’s only because of the news that crude has risen so many dollars a barrel that gas stations have raised prices. That is wrong, IMO.

FYI, I have a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer and I get, on average, 19.3 MPG. If anyone wants to assume my auto loan it’s yours.

UPDATE - I spoke too soon. Friday the price at the pump went up to $3.39.
