It’s been a while since I last told you about Dirt Poor Robins so I thought it was high-time I said something again.
I listen to a lot of music. My iPod has almost 2,100 songs on it (for some people that’s not much, I know) and I continually come back to Dirt Poor Robin’s Volume One. I can’t help it! It’s just good music written and performed by extremely talented people, Neil and Kate DeGraide.
Do yourself a favor and buy their CD. You will be blessed!
Well, tomorrow’s one of the big days for this liver/gall bladder problem I’ve been suffering from all year long. My doctor is going to perform an upper GI endoscopy to check for possible ulcers and such in my esophagus, stomach and duodenum. If all is well, he will then refer me to a surgeon for gall bladder extraction and liver biopsy. I’m excited. Can you tell?
You prayers in this matter are very much appreciated.
Joe Kovacs over at WorldNet Daily has written a good article entitled Homosexuals celebrate in ravaged New Orleans. In the article, he points out that
Despite the devastation and ongoing suffering by thousands from Hurricane Katrina, homosexuals paraded on Bourbon Street in New Orleans over the weekend, and have rescheduled their “Southern Decadence” event for tomorrow.
This is a sad, “in your face” celebration of perversion with a very generous dose of illegal activities, which Mayor Ray Nagin publicly promoted before Katrina. Why do the local law enforcement put up with this? Does the federal government even care that local law enforcement turns a blind eye to such activities?
“The shocking callousness of New Orleans’ gay activists towards the severe suffering of its fellow citizens cannot be adequately articulated in a news report,” says James Hartline, a former homosexual, who describes the “Southern Decadence” festival as being “replete with tens of thousands of men and women engaged in public nudity, prostitution, illegal drug use and destructive public S & M sex.”
Hartline goes on to say:
“The idea that human beings are continuing to party while hundreds of thousands of fellow citizens are starving, dying and suffering from a multitude of sicknesses brings into focus the real lack of judgment that these constant advocates of special gay rights demonstrate in a time of crisis.”
That is truly sick. Extremely sick.
This just in from Concerned Women for America:
Dear Friend,
You may have heard by now that the California Legislature has done what no other American legislative body has ever done: passed a bill to abolish marriage as we know it in favor of same-sex marriage. The vote came on Tuesday as the nation was distracted by Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Click here for the text of our release with more details.
It’s now up to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) to veto the bill. He has 30 days to do it. If he fails to act, the bill could illegally become law. It is illegal for the legislature to amend or change any statutory initiative approved by the voters. Only the vote of the people could overturn Proposition 22, California’s current marriage law that defines marriage as one man and one woman.
We are asking all our California members and friends to contact the Governor and urge him to veto the same-sex marriage bill. It will help to remind him that Californians voted for Proposition 22 just five years ago to ensure that the state would not recognize same-sex marriages if approved in other states.
ACTION: If you are from California, please contact Gov. Schwarzenegger and urge him to veto the same-sex marriage bill. Click the box at right to send an email. Other contact information is below.
If you get this email and are not from California, please contact any family and friends you know in that state and urge them to contact their governor. Feel free to forward this email to them.
